Suggest Treatment For Headaches And Migraines

Hi, I suffer from headaches. The migraines are manageable now with medication. But, what I have been experiencing is I go to bed without a headache and I wake up with the top of my head killing me. Then when I get up and moving it goes away…Any ideas????

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I had gone through your question carefully and i can understand your concern very well.

I would like to tell you that you need to take migraine prophylaxis in the form of either beta blocker like propranolol or amitryptaline before going to bed. You also need to take medications like rizatriptan during acute attacks of migraine.

Mostly you are having problems of migraine during waking up. You can meet a neurophysician and plan your treatment accordingly.

Hope this answers your question and let me know whether you have any further relevant follow up questions.

I find this answer helpful
