Suggest Treatment For Headaches And Stomachaches For A 47 Year Old Female

Hi, I have been getting throbbing headaches with a stomach ache, my head throbs so bad at the same time. which requires immediately having to have a loose bowel movement. The throbbing painful headache lasts about two to five minutes. The throbbing goes away and Im left with a headache on a scale of 1-10, 10 being worse I would rate my headache after my throbbing headache a 6. Throbbing headache a 9. I have had this now on Sunday evening, Tuesday evening and late today, Thursday afternoon. I am female, 47.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to migraine. I suggest using anti inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day to relieve the pain. If the headache continue, you can use prescribed painkillers such as Triptans to relieve the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
