Over 3 weeks ago, my mom went to bed and laid on her side. Within 1/2 hour, she lost her hearing on the ear she was laying on. She has had steroid injections 3 times over the course of the weeks and her hearing isn t coming back. Now yesterday, we took her to Urgent Care because her blood pressure was spiking. She takes meds for high BP, but as she was checking it hourly at home, it was increasing each time. It was about 210/80 with a pulse rate of 50 when the nurse took it. Besides that, she had a tingly feeling in both of her hands. She is 67. Could these issues be related at all? The Doc at Urgent Care ran blood tests and did an EEG but everything seemed fine. While we were there about 2 hours, her BP stabilized at 145/60. The Docs didn t give her anything but this just seemed a strange occurrence and I was wondering if the hearing issue and BP/tingly hands could be related.
