Suggest Treatment For Hearing Problem With Humming Sound In The Ear

HELLO, I HAD BRONCHITIS IN APRIL OF 2010, AND AT THAT POINT, MY HEARING WAS AFFECTED...MY HEARING IS BETTER NOW, OB=VER A YEAR LATER, BUT STILL ISN'T 100%. COULD THERE BE SOMETHING ELSE WRONG...WENT TO A DR, (NOT ENT) AND HE SAID IT SHOULD GET BETTER...IT HAS, BUT LIKE I SAID, NOT 100%. I ALSO HAVE A HUMMING/MOTOR LIKE SOUND IN MY HEAD (TINNITUS MAYBE) HAVE HAD THAT FOR YEARS...SHOULD I SEE AN ENT OR WILL THE HEARING EVENTUALLY RETURN??? THANKS

As per your query you have hearing problem with humming sound in the ear , which is also known as tinnitus . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like low blood sugar level or iron level , TMJ problem , impacted tooth , inner ear infection or condition like meniere's disease . I would suggest you to drink plenty of water , drink green tea thrice a day and take proper rest , start taking supplement like ginkgo biloba, Consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , examine with otoscope , hearing test and rotatory chair test and blood tests . Doctor may prescribe anti emetic drug , antibiotics, anti inflammatory and may recommend vestibular therapy and hearing aid .
