Suggest Treatment For Hearing Problem

Hi doctor, my sis daughter is 5years old, currently she was not able here sound proper. Lab Test result was she can hear sound only 40%.They ask to prefer machine to ear otherwise later on she would not hear and speak. I like to know there is any possibility for sidha cure.

Hi,

It would depend on the specific causes. But mostly there is no cure... cochlear implants can be close to a cure. I think 5 yrs old is borderline old enough, but I'm not sure if it is done if someone has 40%. Mostly I've heard of it being done on people with far less hearing. at 40%, hearing aids work pretty well.
