Suggest Treatment For Heart Ailment When Having Creatinine Level Of 3
Hi, My Father is a 67 years old & diabetic. 6 months ago he had a Heart attack. After a blood test they conveyed that he is having a creatinine level of 3.0 for which we could not be able to do an angiogram to find the blockages. Doctor has conveyed that doing angiogram at this stage is risky & it may push your father to permanent dialysis. For now he is under medication but often he suffers from shortness of breath & Tiredness. His water intake is restricted to 1 Litre per day. Would like to know any other solution or procedure available to treat his heart ailment.
Your father's shortness of breath and inactiveness may be because of kidney dysfunction. Water is not excreted properly leading to water intoxication and they get deposited in lungs this causing shortness of breath. So, rather than the heart its the kidney causing symptoms. Kindly consult a nephrologist for further investigations to know the degree of kidney failure and initiate appropriate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
