Suggest Treatment For Heart Burn And Chest Pain

I have had heart-burn and chest pain since yesterday (bought on by over-eating... lots), pain last night was severe with sweats, vomitting (felt like i was going to pass out).... tried gaviscon, milk, peppermint tea.... nothing worked. Has lessened this morning (after being up most of the night), but pain just sitting in my chest, coming in waves.... just dont know what to do with myself. Any suggestions (took some ibrupfen.... felt worse.... frightened to take anymore). thanks. kim

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having hyper acidity and gastritis following over eating and junk food.
Take Omeprazole tablet and antispasmodic medicine like dicyclomine.
As heart burn is associated with sweats and feeling of pass out, it is advisable to go for EKG to rule out any cardiac ailment.
Ok andtake care.
