Suggest Treatment For Heart Murmur

I am 19 year old female. I went to the doctor this week and they listen to my heart and he that I have a murmur. He asked me if any other doctor that I seen told me that I said no. I have never been told this. The doctor told me that it is nothing to worry about.

Thanks for raising your concern and in best interest it is wise to consult a Cardiologist because although heart murmur is not a disease but only an unusual heartbeat sound due to an underlying condition like severe anemia,high blood pressure,overactive thyroid,valvular disorder.

1. If after examination/investigation murmur is found to be innocent [harmless] usually no treatment is required however if murmur is found to be abnormal then treatment will depend on treating the condition or severity of the disease.

2. If because of the murmur you experience chest pain,shortness of breath,syncope attacks,palpitations call your doctor right away.
