Suggest Treatment For Heart Palpitations, Sweating, Anxiety And Mood Swings During Menopause

Hi I am going through the menopause and its destroying my life. I have heart palpitations, sweating, health anxiety, no sex drive, feel ugly and unattractive, have terrible mood swings and have suffered panic attacks. Always think I m dying. I try to keep active by swimming and walking. Have tried every remedy going and nothing has worked. Can u recommend anything that might help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Most women nearing menopause may begin experiencing some unpleasant symptoms such as fatigue, depression, changes in menstrual cycles, racing heart, hot flushes, sweating, anxiety or panic attacks, weight gain, hair loss, headaches, low sex drive, mood swings, vaginal dryness, muscle or joint pain, sore breasts, increased frequency of micturition etc.

Best treatment for menopause and perimenopause symptoms is hormone replacement therapy or HRT that may replace the hormone. Estrogen therapy acts as a hormone replacement therapy that is most effective medication for relieving menopausal symptoms. In most cases, menopause symptoms will disappear within 4-5 years after last menstrual cycle.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
