Suggest Treatment For Heart Racing

Hello Doc, I have been having these sudden episodes of heart racing. Noticed it goes up to about 120 sometimes. Saw a cardiologist and also had an 30 day event monitor. Nothing came out of the recordings i sent. They said everything seems normal. However, i still get these episodes where my heart starts racing, my head gets heavy and get a bit of ear buzzing. I am not sure how to proceed further. Please advise. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you can visit an endocrinologist to check your thyroid hormone levels because hyperthyroidism may be a cause of it. Do test T3, T4 and TSH levels. Also, do an ultrasound of the thyroid.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
