Suggest Treatment For Heat Flashes And Dizziness

I occasionally experience mild heat (flushing) to the right/rear of my head with dizziness and while I do not black out completely I do experience some shadowing each episode last about a minute or two. I have had these symptoms two or three times in the past couple of weeks.

Hello,

Hit flashes and giddiness may be due to infection or hypercapnia or cardiac dysfunction or andropause or menopause or hormonal imbalance or beriberi or BPPV.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please get it done haemoglobin status, thyroid profile, blood urea, serum creatinine, serum electrolytes, vestibular function tests and ECG and echocardiogram.

Use tablet Vertin thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Penchila Prasad Kandikattu , Internal Medicine Specialist
