I am having severe heat flushes that break my entire body out into a sweat. At the same time my heart rate goes up, I get nausas. This has been going on for awhile but getting worse. Been to Drs. with no dx. as of now. This is controlling my life right now. Any help is appreciated. Thank you, Brenda Ylitalo

Thank you for your question!
There are some common triggers for heat rush such as
drinking alcohol
products containing caffeine
spicy foods, smoking or being exposed to smoke
stress or anxiety
tight clothes.
There are some certain herbal products which can help. I recommend my patients have soy products and evening primrose oil, which usually bring a relief after 2 months.
Also I prescribe estrogen supplements together with progestin to avoid risk of endometrial cancer. I recommend them for a period of 3-6 months till 1 year.
In very severe cases I give a prescribtion of Gabapentin or antidepressants.
In your case I would suggest beginning with herbal medication combined with acupuncture as it reduce stress levels and also avoid the trigger factors mentioned above. If the situation doesn`t clear up you can start with hormonal therapy replacement or prescribtion medication which you have to talk with your Physician.
If anything is unclear to you please feel free to contact me.
Thank you again for the question!
