Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Sir, I have heaviness in my right ear and sometimes it starts in left ear also. This problem is there from last two months. It all started with mild pain in my neck(right side). Endoscopy was conducted but nothing get reported. ENT told me that your throat is fine. Now porblem is that I have heaviness in my ears and mild pain in the right side of my face. Consulated many doctors, but no help.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of heaviness in the ear which could be due to sinusitis, ear wax accumulation , ear infection and certain other systemic pathology. Sometimes infection spread from upper respiratory track to ears through eustachian tube because of post nasal drip . I would suggest you to take antihistamines and antibiotic combination as infection is present. You should take Co amoxiclav. Nasal decongestant sprays would be effective for you. You should take plenty of liquids. You should take steam inhalation. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for surgical reconstruction of opening for relieve of pressure. You should go for para nasal sinus X ray. Apply dry warm compresses on external ear and cover it while bathing . Maintain proper oral hygiene. You should put Fluticasone ear drops on regular basis. Avoid pricking ear with any sharp objects.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
