Suggest Treatment For Heavy Bleeding And Blood Clot During Periods

Hi, I am 38 years old and today I started the day with what I thought was a normal period. After 1/2 hour I experienced a gushing sensation so I went to the bathroom and them all of a sudden a massive blood clot about the size of my palm went down my trouser leg and landed on the floor. Over the next 5 hours I experienced the same sensation and went to the toilet every 30 mins and a blood clot came out, around about 3 large ones and a couple a bit bigger than a fifty cent piece. Along with this I experienced very heavy bleeding which was like a tap dripping. I have had two children and in all my years I have never experienced anything like this. What do you think it is???
