Suggest Treatment For Heavy Menstrual Periods

i'm 50 years old. My periods have been extremely heavy over the past five years. Each month I will use at least twenty tampax super, and at least ten heavy duty pads, and ten regular pads + I need to put a bath towel in the bed in case. My periods are regular and last between four to six days. I was at first prescribed Tranexamic acid 500mg, these made me feel sick, the blood changed into slug like clots, and were just as slippery! Next I had an IUD (coil) fitted ten months ago, my periods are now a little shorter but even heavier+horrid period pains. I also have one large fibroid that I've been told also bleeds when I have a period. I take Furrous Sulphate 200mg twice a day because my iron is always so low. I feel like a zombie 90% of my life. I've just lost my job as a bar maid because I'm constently tired and keep making one mistake after another. Now I've been put on Cerazette Desogestrel, the pill! Is this a good idea? I just want my periods to end, Have an opperation or something and get my life back on track, join the land of the living. My GP said it will probably all be over in a year or two. I've Lost My JOB. I feel let down. Please advise me?
