I took norithesterone last month to delay my per due to going on holiday. However on holiday I developed stomach pains and stopped taking them. A period then followed, although heavier than usual. This month things seem to have gone from bad to worse! I have been bleeding slightly for 10 days, but then it went extremely heavy with clots. I was going through a tampon every 2 hours, with blood streaming out with large clots each time I changed it - sorry for the description! I have been in touch with my GP who is seeing me next week, but he has advised me to go back on the Norithesterone, 2 a day. I have done this, but am only taking one a day due to my concerns about the stomach pains. I started taking them yesterday, and already it has made a difference to the bleeding, phew! but am starting to get the stomach pains. I am hoping you
can help. I am 40 and weigh 8 stone 11 lbs and do not have children. My periods have been fine in the past, but have got heavier over the past few months. Nothing to this extreme though. Will I have to continue to take the Norithesterone, even if it causes the pain, do I only have a choice of bleeding or pain.?! I'd be really grateful for your comments and advice.
