Suggest Treatment For Heavy Vaginal Bleeding Caused By Endometriosis

Dear Dr my wife was diagnosed with Endometriosis last year and had it removed. she was again diagnosed with it and took DIAN 35 for 6 month. for twenty days ago , she has had abnrmal vaginal bleeding which sometimes very severe. the gynecologist we saw examined her (via an ultasound probe, not sure what the name of instrument was) and suggseted she start taking VISSANE by bayer immediaetly . she has been taking the pills for 5 days. but the bleeding has not been stopped yet and sometimes its getting very intensive. I am very worried ...any ideas what we need to do ? shall we see another specialist ?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. I have seen many cases with similar complaints. Please find my advice below-:
1)As per your history you have not mentioned clearly how old she is now? and what removed ?
2)Vaginal bleeding can be due to a number of pathological causes so do a trasvaginal ultrasound and PAP test and share the result.
3)If age is >40 talk with your family doctor to remove both uterus and ovaries to prevent future complications.
4)If age is less than 40 and childbearing so Dx will be AUB(Hormonal imbalance)
I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me.
Wishing you all the best.
Thanks,
I find this answer helpful
