Suggest Treatment For Heavy Vaginal Bleeding During Menstruation

For the last 6 months I have been having a 6 day period every month, and then 10 days later I get it again. Except it lasts over a week and it s very heavy. What could be the cause of this??? I really REALLY do not want to go to a gyno if it isn t absolutely necessary that I go.

Take Tranexaemic acid 500 mg.
Take Iron supplements.
Maintain good hygiene and perineal care.
