i have a heel spur on ONE foot that won t go away. it is very painful.. so painful at times that I break out in a sweat. I have for the past two months constantly have worn a well padded insole and an outersole that gives kind of shoe, even if it is just to go to bathroom in middle of night. I have tried two orthotics and it made the problem worse both times because it made the heel spur more painful and gave me plantar fasciitis and caused pain in the ankle joint. I am only talking about my right foot here. I have added more calcium rich foods and reduced calcium inhibiting foods. I get about 10,000 iu of D3 a week. i massage the bottom of my foot with golf ball. i have put ice on bottom of my foot too. I eat anti-inflammatory foods every day -- salmon, vegetables and fruits, garlic, olive oil. I think my heel spur may be a result of spraining my ankle 15 yr ago (i heard a cracking sound when it happened). i feel that the problem is biomechanical specific to my right foot. Which medical professional can surgically correct this anatomical anomaly that is putting so much stress on the bottom of my heel and tendons? Donna Becker email: YYYY@YYYY
