General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the hematoma on vertebrae, anemia with normal GI scopy, CT and MRI back do indicates issue with underlying bone marrow functioning. There can be hemopoietic stem cell defect with platelet abnormalities, which can be figured out with the identification of particular cell type, abnormal morphology on slides examination, pre mature or blast or bend forms of cells, platelet granulation defects etc.

Kindly discuss the need of a bone marrow biopsy with your treating doctor during follow up scheduled visit.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
