As per your complain having a history of hemorrhoids since years with on and off irritation and recently seeing blood in stools is an indication that your hemorrhoids are inflamed and irritated and inflamed structure has a tendency to bleed on slight stimulation.. You can continue putting Preparation H suppositories and along with it -Application of steroid and numbing ointment can help in reducing inflammation and pain.. -Sitz bath that is sitting in warm water tub especially after bowels.... -High fibre diet along with laxatives like Polyethylene glycol and stool softeners like Docusate to maintain proper bowels.. -Avoid spicy food and drink plenty of water.. -In case of no improvement consult a Proctologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical examination can be done.. If the symptoms does not resolve with medical treatment you can be advised surgical procedures like Rubber band ligation, sclerotherapy or Hemorrhoidectomy that is surgical removal of the hemorrhoids..
