Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently had a Laposcopic surgery to reduce size of a hepatitis cyst on my liver. Post surgery i developed severe pain in upper chest. First diagnosis was air bubble. Cardiologist got involved because they thought it may be my heart. After many hear tests they said I had I claymation of protective lining of heart- pericardis. I understood them to say it was caused by surgery. Note that I also have an infection in my testicle that may have been there pre-surgery
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can.
I dont htink that pericard issues are caused by surgery since liver is away from heart. It may be sign of certain heart diseases or infective endocarditis. YOu need extensive work up by infectologist.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
