Suggest Treatment For Hiatus Hernia While On Losec

I have been taking medication to counter gurd, for more than 3 years originally Losec and in the last 5 years Somac I recently heard this tablet can interfere with the lining of blood vessels. I would like to take something more natural but effective,,,,,,Is this possible and am I at risk if I continue to take Somac. I also have an hiatus hernia (probably my main problem)

Hello,

Somac is a PPI inhibitor-containing pantoprazole. It is used in the therapy scheme of hyperacidity issues of the stomach including GERD.

Losec is also PPI inhibitor-containing omeprazole. So, both of them have the same side effects.

I think you should consult with a gastroenterologist for prolongation of the therapy with PPIs.
