Suggest Treatment For High BP And Dizziness

A few years ago, my doctor said I had high blood pressure. So I stopped using salt. My BP was alwYs at 120/80 andfor 15 years after retirement it dropped to 100/75. During the last 3 years I stopped eating salt. At present my BP Averaging 90/65. I experience dizziness every day, and tire easily. Should I increase my salt intake. I am 80 yrs. old, no smoking or drinking, and I recently had two stents implanted to enlarge one of my arteries. What say you. Jack

Hello,

At your age average BP should have been a little higher. You may be experiencing low BP. I suggest talk to your cardiologist regarding this.

Therefore I suggest consulting a cardiologist for physical examination, diagnosis and treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. K. V. Anand
