Suggest Treatment For High BP And Severe Right Sided Pain

I was in the ER for high blood pressure 210/115 and I forgot to tell them about a sharp pain about half way up my torso on my right side under my rib cage. Pretty much like an intense cramp. Is that something that I should know about? What should I tell my Dr?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A rare condition that may cause high blood pressure and may also in a few cases cause back pain is pheochromocytoma. This is a tumor of the glands over the kidney and you may need certain tests to rule them out as the cause of your symptoms.
You will need to talk to your doctor about both your blood pressure and the pain you are experiencing. Having partial information may lead the doctor to misdiagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
