Suggest Treatment For High BP

Hello, I was released from hospital 4 days ago After having a TIA. The docs said that I did not have a stroke. I am on meds for high blood pressure. However this morning I have pins and needles in my rightvhand only and my BP is 165/118. Should I do anything about this? Thanks. Chris

Hi
Thanks for positng your query on HCM
I have read and understood your concern
The treatment of high BP relies on diet control/healthy lifestyle and regular taking of drugs. With a past history of TIA, you run the reisk of having a stroke if not well followed-up.Your present BP value is high and i will advise you see your Doctor as soon as possible for evaluation.Your Doctor may also have to reevlaute your BP medications. In the meantime, i will advise you try the following:
-Rest well and avoid stress
-Eat low salt diet
-Regular fitness exercises
-Take your BP medications as prescribed
-Your Doctor may also consider placing you on a low dose aspirin
Hope this will help. You may write back if more concerns
Wish you good health
