This is venkatesh raja aged 27 years. What type of treatment need to be taken for high ESR levels of 110mm/hr(at present). Before a month i was suffered with arthiritis and fluid was removed around my knee. Lab test shows there is no bacterial growth in the fluid after 48 hrs of incubation. what is the remedial measures and suggest any medication for this ailment. Thanks in advance
I am so sorry to hear about this high ESR levels. ESR in itself is nit a disease condition. It signals that there is an inflammatory reaction going on. Giving the fact that your joints are swollen and initial analysis show no germ, this could be reactive arthritis. You may need anti inflammatory medications to get these symptoms controlled. I will recommend that you talk to your doctor and get some medications to address this condition. Follow up measurements would be able to tell whether you are getting better or not.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be.
