Suggest Treatment For High Blood Pressure And Bleeding During Urination

My brother is 65. He has had bladder cancer but is in remission. He started bleeding again during urination about four weeks ago. He has neuropathy in his feet and takes max dose of gabapetin. He stayed with us for two weeks. Noticed he drinks alcohol, talks continually, shakes, takes a lot of Xanax, hardly sleeps and has lost 70 lbs in a little over a month. He talks to himself, get agitated easily, is paranoid. He takes meds for high blood pressure and for his feet. My sister in law says he is driving her crazy. He talks nonstop, forgets and loses things so gets angry when he can t find what he misplaced. He always talks about the past and interrupts you so you can t get a word in edgewise. Lately he has been spending money like crazy and hoarding things new and from the past. Help!

I do t think these two are related.
In most cases blood inurine is caused by urinary infection or urinary stones so you should do urine analysis, urinoculture and kidneys ultrasound to rule these out. Also, vesicoureteral reflux may be possible cause which is anomaly of bladder but can be easily treated. You should drink raspberry tea and plenty of water till you do tests- Also, avoid sexual intercourse and have keep good hygiene. You should reduce salt in your diet as well. In most cases this is self limiting but sometimes antibiotics are required and more invasive tests such as cystoscopy or J prothesis insertion.
