Today I had blood pressure readings of 194/105 and then a bit later 178/107. I am a 53 year old female. Have gained weight this year and struggled with menapause symptoms. Have been waking up in early hours of the morning for weeks with terrible headaches.

Hello,
Your blood pressure is definitely high and this high BP is resulting in headaches in morning on getting up.
You require anti hypertension medicines and hence must consult your doctor.
Other measures involve...
eating less salt and shedding weight and avoiding stress.
Get tested for hypothyroidism and lipid profile also
Thanks
