Suggest Treatment For High Blood Pressure And Pain In Head

My mother is a patient of high blood pressure. Two days ago, she got a little too excited and screamed. In that state, she began to feel like her head would explode. She checked her BP: it had shot up even though she was on regular medication. She took some pain killers for her head. At the Emergency, the doctor told her she was fine. She has been taking pain killers at 4-hour intervals ever since. When the effect of the pain killers wear off, she again feels like her head is exploding. Is my mother fine?
