Dear sir i can understand your concern.
i am very sorry for your condition.
steroids and diabetes will never go together.
But in many conditions steroid act as life saving drugs.
in conditions like scleritis steroids are used to prevent eye damage.
In my clinic for most of this kind of patients i prefer them to be on "short course of insulin"until there eye problem settles and effects of steroid is withdrawn.
I suggest you to discuss with your treating doc on considering insulin for a short while.
Regards
