Hello there,
Your blood sugar levels are pretty high and warrant proper evaluation and treatment by a diabetologist. Your Left foot is probably being affected by neuropathy and diabetes is the most likely cause. Do not ignore your diabetes as it can cause damage to your left foot as well and that being your good foot you need to be extra careful. With treatment and control of blood sugars your symptoms will definitely improve. Do not worry but rather go to a diabetologist and begin therapy. One single blood test is not enough to evaluate your condition and so a proper blood test and examination will be the right way to go. Take care.

Diabetologist Dr. Saumya Mittal 's  Response
Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

The point remains that you need to take medicines for your sugars. Most doctors start treatment of sugars with an extended release form of metformin tablet. we prefer to start in low doses like 500 mg once a day and then step up gradually.

Also watching your sugars would be a good idea. To this extent, I would suggest that you get yourself a glucometer and keep a watch on sugars prior to meals (before breakfast/lunch/dinner). You need not check it thrice a day, or even daily. Once in 2-3 days may suffice.

Also, watch your diet. Diabetic low calory diet and physical exercise are usual adjuants to treatment. You should try both to a level you are comfortable with.

Let us know the sugar monitoring soon.

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further.

I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.

Please do understand that some details could be extracted from a detailed history and examination.

Please feel free to ask another query. I would be glad to help you. Looking forward to your return query with the details asked so that I can help you further.
