Suggest Treatment For High Blood Sugar, Nausea, Blurred Vision And Headaches

I have been high for athe least 2 a couple of weeks now. My A1C went from 7.2 back in April to 10.2 earlier this week. Doctor put me on Lantus 2 days ago (20units) but my blood glucose is still high. Most recently 280, earlier today 333. I am nautious, blury vision, have bad headaches. How long before I feel better?

Hello, Feeling of nausea is not necessarily related hypperglycemia. It may be related to dyspepsia (indigestion). If you been put on Lantus and if the fasting glucose is high, (you have not mentioned whether glucose level is fasting, Pp or random). You may have to adjust the dosage of Lantus. First target fasting glucose and see that it is brought closer to 100 mg. Later PP glucose can be targeted. Insulin dose can be increased every third day till desired glucose level is achieved. You will have to coordinate with your local doctor for this. Thanks.
