Hello and welcome to HCM,
Fatty liver can occur due to a number of causes, diabetes mellitus being one of them.
Fatty liver is the most probable cause of elevated liver enzymes.
Management of diabetes mellitus and control of blood sugar will help to reverse fatty liver.
Obesity is also one of the causes for diabetes mellitus so if present obesity should also be taken care of.
High cholesterol requires proper medication to control high blood cholesterol.
So, consult your treating physician before stopping statins.

Thanks and take care
