173 cms 71 kgs, 47 years male on anti hypertensive with total cholesterol 215, LDL 131, HDL 52, VLDL 32 fasting blood sugar 100.
Does physical excercise four times a week brisk walking for 45 minutes covering 4.5 kms. Mixed diet with lot of fibre and fall in high risk group, alcohol twice a week and smokes one cigarette day.
You are doing quite well with your lifestyle. I would advise you to go ahead, quit smoking, try to avoid fast food, animal fat. I this case there will be no need for statins, unless there is documented ischemic heart disease.
