General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the high fever with abdomen pain indicates underlying GI infection which can be of vivid patterns of bacteria. The most common cause is enteric fever caused by salmonella typhi bacteria in usual cases. It is the lymph node enlargement through this, which pause abdomen pain along with intestine edema.

In my clinic, I do recommend a lab study with complete blood counts, serum Widal test via rapid slide method and confirmation with test tube method of incubation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
