Suggest Treatment For High Fever, Chills Diarrhea And Vomiting

My husband started Sunday morning with 102 fever, chills diarrhea and later vomiting on one occasion. He slept from about 3 pm on Sunday through Monday morning at which time he felt better. He worked the trade show on Monday and Tuesday, we drove home Tuesday night and now today he went to work for about 3 hours and had to come home....again, fever chills and terrible achiness. He was in Australia for a week on business and had returned last Friday. He will not go to urgent care.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your husband have symptoms of high fever, chills diarrhea and vomiting which seems to be due to viral or bacterial infection. It could be due to disturbed electrolyte imbalances in body.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit general physician once and get it examined. You should get blood tests done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Do tepid sponging as well to lower down fever. Take diet rich in fresh juices and fruits. Drink plenty of water and fluids. You should take anti-allergic medication along with proper course of antibiotic along with Ibuprofen. Avoid giving large meals to your husband and give him small but frequent meals. Give paracetamol every 4 hourly if fever is there.
