Suggest Treatment For High Fever, Earaches And Body Aches

My daughter in law is experiencing high fever (103-104), stiff neck, earaches and body aches. This happened almost a month ago and subsided somewhat with ibuprofen. She went to a MASH unit at that time and had blood work. Results...viral infection. Nothing can be done. Well, the same symptoms appeared 2 days ago and is in a lot of pain. Went to the emergency room, once again, blood tests show some sort of viral infection. Advice : go home, rest and take ibuprofen. What else can be done ?

How are the blood counts as per reports?
Also, are her symptoms accompanied by any form of Vomiting?
How bad is the neck stiffness? does it relieve on warm compresses?
