Suggest Treatment For High Fever In A Child

Hello Doctor my daughter is 8 years old suffering for high fever i have given her the dose of mefkind 10 ml i just want to know how much time does the dose take to down the fever because her fever was 102 when i gave her medicen and later i checked after 1 hr fever goes to 104 .4 then i sponch her body know what i should do plz suggest

Hi,

As of now, continue paracetamol and sponging. Body temperature has to be below 100 otherwise it might provoke seizure.
If symptoms persist better to consult a pediatrician and get evaluated. Do a blood count to look for any infection.
