Suggest Treatment For High Fever, Profuse Sweating And Headache In An Elderly Person

Hi, my name is Alex, I am 60 years old, in pretty good health. This started last saturday in the middle of the night. I had a high fever of 103.8F, the shivvers, and non stop sweating, and severe headaches. I took Tylenol for 3 days and it did not stop. On the fourth day the temperature went down to 98F. Headaches are still there, I have a hard time of breathing which I didnt have before, my chest feels full, yet Mucinex didnt help through the past 3 days. I have no cuts and no infections. And 4 days of a diereia. Just please dont tell me go to Hospital to get a all the tests done. Thank you, I appreciate your advice.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the febrile condition then it may be due to virus, bacteria, parasites, and to differentiate this routine blood test is must to treat the fever, if it is the viral fever then you can just treat it with Acetaminophen alone and it will be okay after few days hope this information helps.
