Suggest Treatment For High Grade Fever With Chills And Rigors

My sisterm18 ywars old, has high grade fever105 highest recorded for last 13 days,assosiated with chills and rigors.comes at 6 hr interval.subsided better with suppository rather than paracetamol. No history of visiting malaria endemic area,blood culture negative,no neutrophilic leukocytosis,no urinary tract infection, no pathology in chest xray,no gastro intestinal symptoms.. Pt has asthma and developed severw caugh for 4 days.didnt respond to oral antibiotic s.iv antibiotic 2 dose given.yet fecver is comung,
What can be the cause?

As fever is persistent since more than 2 weeks first of all I will advice you to go for widal test to rule out the possibility of typhoid fever. For treatment you can take some antibiotic like cefadroxyl or ofloxacine after an expert opinion along with calpol or akilos-p for high grade fever. You can take some multivitamins like metilda-forte or meganeuron-plus with pan-d or omez-d empty stomach. It will take at-least 5-7 days to recover completely. Do cold sponging to reduce the temperature of his body. For cough he can take syrup asthakind or syrup grilinctus-bm. he can also complete the course of chloro-quine as suggested by your doctor.
