Suggest Treatment For Hip Pain While On Prednisone

I ve done a lot of yardwork the past two weeks. I have multiple bug bites and developed a rash not near the bug bites, also some hives. Pt first said it s a poison of some sort and put me on prednisone. The strange thing is the last few days I get very achy in my hips/lower back, a fever, a headache and just feel sick. Then after a few hours, I feel normal again, a few hours later it s all back.

Hi,

Hard to say without seeing things, especially the dermatologic condition. Allergy and inflammation does well with steroids. ANd the effects of the steroids can go up and down. If it is ONE spot then an arthritis or injury but overall inflammation and overall achiness fits more with the overall allergic response. The effect of an allergic reaction rarely goes past 4 days and if it is continuing, it is a reason for a doctor's evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
