Suggest Treatment For Hives In An RA Patient

I have been having hives for 4 months now. I have rheumatoid arthritis. They come and go, some days I have them really bad and some days I don t. The doctors did a skin biopsies on me and they think it has something to do with my arthritis. But they really do not know what is going on. Please if anyone has any ideas, please help me out. I want these hives gone.

hi. i understand that you are troubled by dual problems. first RA and now these hives.

hives that come and go are known as urticaria. there are many causes for urticaria. please ponder over below questions and if the answer to any of the questions is yes that might be the cause for your urticaria:
1. have you started any new medication
2. do you have persistent acidity
3. do you have sore throat or burning micturition
4. do you have infection anywhere else in the body

if all the answers are negative then you might be having chronic spontaneous urticaria. 50% of urticarias come under this category. you are specially prone for this as you already have an autoimmune disease RA.

i would suggest you to start an antihistamine monteleukast combination like levosiz-M once a day. take the tablet continously for 6 weeks. many patients improve after the course.

hope this answer was helpful. for any further queries please contact us. thanks.
