Suggest Treatment For Hives On Ears, Hands And Knee
I have been having hives on my ears, hands and knee caps for the past 4 days. This morning I woke up and one foot and one hand feels very sore as if it was bruised. I had a cold or allergy symptoms for the past 2 weeks. Runny nose - clear mucus. The two weeks prior to that I had a sinus infection and took an antibiotic for it. I have been taking zantac to keep the hives tamed. Should I be concerned or just let it run it s course a couple more days? I am a female, 21 years old.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have hives on ears, hands and knee which occurs due to our environment , heat , cold , pressure and sun exposure. It is the body's response to the trigger factor such as insect bite, pollen and some plants can also cause hives. I would suggest you to give cold compresses to hives several times a day to prevent from swelling and itching and take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl. If symptoms still persist the consult dermatologist for proper examination and treatment. Doctor may perform skin test and challenge to find out the trigger factor. Doctor may prescribe other steroid cream ( mometasone) , anti inflammatory drug or drugs that can suppress immune system.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
