Suggest Treatment For Hoarseness?

MY mother is 89 and in home hospice care with CHF. It has now been 2 3/4 years. Her hoarseness has gotten worse and we have tried throat lozenges and tea with honey. She is also using her oxygen more on recommendation of her doctor. Is there any other treatment for the hoarseness since she would like to volunteer from home doing potitical registration since she would like a project to feel more useful other than just waiting to die, watching TV, reading and occasionally having visitors. She goes out once a day in her wheelchair with aide.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The C.H.F,in old age will be sever due to the anemia, and other factors. In C.H.F, there will b congestion of majority of the systems,like wise the larynx and hoarse .
The other reason may be the infection of the throat and larynx,may be secondary to the congestion, or individually.
I advise you to consult an E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis, and treatment .
Gargling with the Luke warm salt water may help, the relief of hoarseness.
