Suggest Treatment For Horrible Nose Bleeds

I m getting horrible nose bleeds lately that won t stop and I keep getting mucous running down the back of my throat. The only thing that I ve changed lately is I ve been using 2 to 3 times as much chewing tobacco as usual. Could these possibly be related

Welcome to HCM,

As per your query you have horrible nose bleeds . Well there can be many reaons for symptoms you mention in query like exposure to warm, dry air for prolonged periods of time, nasal and sinus infections, allergic rhinitis, nasal foreign body ,vigorous nose blowing and deviated or perforated nasal septum . High blood pressure and blood thinner are other reasons . Avoid caffeinated products . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may check vitals , take history , order CT scan and blood test . Doctor may also order nasal endoscopy . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , decongestants and may recommend surgery in case of nasal polyp and other condition . Keep your head elevated while laying down . Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist . Don't forget to mention to the doctor if there is any medicine you are taking.
