Suggest Treatment For Hot Sweats, Cold Chills, Runny Nose And Drainage

I have been sick for almost a week. My symptoms are not being able to stand for very long, I change back and fourth from hot to cold semi-quickly, hot sweats, cold chills, runny nose and drainage, pain in my neck, pain in my back, sore throat, coughing, little to no energy, difficulty staying awake during the day, difficulty staying asleep at night, difficulty swallowing, and semi-high skin sensitivity. What could I possibly have? Should I make a doctors appointment for this? What could I try doing to help get rid of what I have?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to an upper respiratory tract infection. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication such as Acetominophen three times a day to relieve the symptoms.

I also suggest to drink liquids, eat a healthy diet and rest. The symptoms will relieve in a few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
