Hello and welcome to HCM,
A lump in breast in a young patient is most probably a benign lesion.
Does the lump hurt?
Any association with menstruation?
Any skin change over the lump?
Benign breast disease may be associated with
pain during menstruation.
A mobile, painless lump is commonly associated with a
fibroadenoma.
However, a clinical examination is required to come any diagnosis.
You need to consult your doctor for clinical assessment.
Relevant investigations like ultrasound or
mammography may ne required.
In case the lesion is a fibroadenoma, surgical excision needs to be done.
In case it turns out to be
fibroadenosis, it may be treated by medications alone.
Fibroadenosis is hormone dependent condition characterised by prominent breast lobulation, cyst formation, fibrosis, calcification etc.
This is also a benign breast disease.
Thanks and take care
