Suggest Treatment For Hydroureteronephrosis

I had an abdominal scan for medical insurance. The report says I have mild hydroureteronephrosis. My urine reports are clear. I have no symptoms of vomiting nausea etc, no reduced urination or pain in the flank. Kindly let me know what action is recommended at this point of time?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I can understand your concern..
Usually hydroureteronephrosis is caused by small stones obstructing the flow of urine. Once the obstructing stone is dislodged then it will be automatically resolved. It can also happen that there was a stone obstructing previously which got dislodged and now it is in recovering state as Hydroureteronephrosis is mild. U can wait for 2 weeks and get the Abdominal Scan done again and see if it is reducing or Increasing. Depending on the next scan report treatment can be planned if required,

Hope i have answered your Concerns.
Feel free to ask any other queries.
