Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.
First of all do not panic.
Your daughter's symptoms can be due to PMS-
Premenstrual syndrome.
It is not a very serious issue but need active attention.
All these symptoms occur in some women due to alterations in the hormone system just a week before the expected date of menses.
I will suggest that she should follow these guidelines as mentioned below-
Please opt for a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen.
Include more portions of fruits and vegetables and salads in daily diet.
Drink plenty of water in the day.
Avoid refined sugars and deep fried foods and bakery products in the diet.
Please take Long acting form of vitamin B 6, Calcium, protein and vitamin B 12 and
Folic acid and evening primrose oil supplementation on regular basis at least for 3 months.
Use of antiemetic like Ondensetron 4 mg twice a day 30 minutes before food can be helpful to prevent
vomiting as and when required. Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for the same.
I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar.
